Santo Domingo, R.D. – The Santo Domingo Aqueduct and Sewerage Corporation (CAASD) reported that the Isabela aqueduct will be out of service starting this Saturday, due to the carrying out of scheduled maintenance work on its facilities.

The institution explained that the system interruption will allow for the cleaning of the sump of the raw water pumping station, as well as the installation of a new submersible pump, actions that will contribute to improving the operation and efficiency of the aqueduct. According to CAASD, once the works are completed, the system’s production capacity will increase by approximately 3,700 gallons per minute, which will positively impact the supply of drinking water in the areas supplied by the Isabela aqueduct.
