Cabinetmaker is found dead in San Juan de la Maguana

San Juan de la Maguana. — A man identified as Gustavo Cordero Espinosa, 48, was found lifeless in a wooded area of the Villa Liberación sector, in this municipality.

Cordero Espinosa, who resided in the Joyo Oscuro sector and worked as a cabinetmaker, was found hanging from a tree, according to authorities.

Relatives indicated that the man was going through a difficult emotional situation, allegedly related to financial commitments and other personal problems.

His father, Juan Cordero Farías, stated that his son was facing a depressive state that had allegedly worsened due to debts and his involvement in gambling.

The case has caused dismay among residents of several sectors of San Juan de la Maguana, where the deceased was well-known. The authorities are conducting the corresponding investigations to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
