Santo Domingo. – The deputy for North Santo Domingo,
Carlos Pérez, during the year 2025, consolidated a legislative agenda focused on addressing the main needs of his demarcation, promoting initiatives related to health, infrastructure, environment, education and budgetary justice from the Chamber of Deputies.
Among his most recent proposals, Pérez submitted a resolution project that was sent to a study commission, through which he requests the President of the Republic to instruct the Ministry of Public Health and the National Health Service for the completion of the remodeling of the Maternal and Child Subcenter of Villa Mella, as well as the construction of a health subcenter in the San Felipe sector, in Santo Domingo Norte.
The legislator explained that these works represent a basic need for thousands of families and will contribute to improving timely access to health services in one of the most populated municipalities in the country.

Infrastructure defense and urban mobility
The deputy has also reiterated his call to the relevant authorities for the improvement of key road infrastructures, highlighting the importance of ensuring safe and efficient mobility for residents and visitors of Santo Domingo Norte.

In environmental matters, Carlos Pérez has taken an active position in defending the communities affected by the Duquesa landfill, advocating for technical and sustainable solutions in solid waste management and for public policies that prioritize the health and well-being of the population.

Within his legislative agenda, the deputy has presented resolutions for the construction of a Community Higher Technical Institute (ITSC) in Santo Domingo Norte and a multi-use sports center in San Felipe, initiatives approved by the Lower Chamber and aimed at strengthening technical education, sports, and the social inclusion of youth.
During the legislative year, Deputy Carlos Pérez stood out for promoting citizen participation through guided visits to the Chamber of Deputies, becoming one of the legislators with the highest number of delegations received. Carlos Pérez chairs the Housing and Buildings Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, in addition to serving as vice president of the Municipality Commission and member of the Hydraulic Resources Commission, from where he promotes policies related to decent housing, urban planning and municipal development. He was also part of the Commission that studied the amendment project to the Solid Waste Law.
