Changes in the Government Train: Vice Ministers of Women move to Supérate sub-directorates

Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader, issued Decree No. 29-26, through which he ordered new appointments in both the Ministry of Women and the Directorate of Social Development Supérate, as part of the adjustments and reorganizations in public administration. In that context, Addys Claribel Then Marte, who served as Vice Minister of Planning and Development of the Ministry of Women since August 16, 2020, was appointed Deputy Director of Poverty Alleviation at Supérate. Likewise, the president appointed Juan Ernesto Herrera Medina as Deputy Director of Operations of the aforementioned direction, while Doris Yanilka Javier Saint Hilaire, who held the position of Administrative Vice Minister of the Ministry of Women since August 16, 2020, was appointed Deputy Administrative and Financial Director of Supérate.

About the changes:
The former president of the Republic, Hipólito Mejía, called on the government of President Luis Abinader to make real changes in the Governmental Train, and not just transfers of officials, considering that some areas require firm decisions to improve public management. “I want changes, not transfers”, Mejía emphasized, while opening the possibility that the president could feel “betrayed or deceived” by some of his officials. “Teverything is possible. I would fire any official at the drop of a hat”, he expressed, recalling his direct style at the head of the State.
