Neyba, Bahoruco province.-Authorities reported the capture of Francisco José Cuevas Santana, known as “Chuki”, identified as one of those involved in the homicide of former National Police member Jamison Pérez Román, which occurred on Sunday afternoon in the Las Malvinas sector of this municipality. Cuevas Santana, 25 years old, was arrested during an operation carried out at the Cabaña Oasis Mal Paso, located in the municipality of Jimaní, where he had traveled aboard a vehicle. Police officers participated in the action, moving on motorcycles and an official truck. Following his arrest, the young man was immediately transferred to the headquarters of the National Police Department in this jurisdiction for the corresponding purposes.

Meanwhile, investigative agencies are actively searching for a third suspect, identified as Alvin Pérez Feliz, a resident of the province of Pedernales. According to information provided by the Central Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DICRIM) in Neyba, the deceased former agent allegedly had a debt of 200,000 pesos with Pérez Feliz, a situation that would have triggered the event, although the exact reason for said obligation has not been specified.
