Santiago.- The Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services of the Judicial District of Santiago postponed until next Friday, the 17th at 4:30 in the afternoon, the hearing for the request of coercive measures against two of the three brothers accused of murdering delivery worker Joel Heredia, 24, with a stab wound to the neck during a violent incident that occurred last Saturday at a food business in the Hato Mayor sector.
Judge Estefany Santiago Reyes adopted the decision so that the defense has more time to prepare their arguments and guarantee the presence of the plaintiff at the hearing.
The defendants are Eudis Martínez Henríquez, alias “El Pana”, 21 years old, and Anneudy Rafael Cabrera Henríquez, alias “Cocote”, 19, who, together with a 16-year-old adolescent, are identified by the Public Ministry as the alleged perpetrators of the homicide.
The minor will be prosecuted separately in the Juvenile Court, so their identity remains confidential, in accordance with the law.
At the conclusion of the hearing, defense attorney Francisco Familia explained that the postponement will allow for the presentation of arguments in favor of the defendants and that investigative procedures still remain to determine the circumstances of the event.
