Santiago.- Relatives surrendered three brothers this Sunday afternoon at the headquarters of the Cibao Central Regional Directorate of the National Police, who are identified as the alleged perpetrators of the stabbing death of 22-year-old delivery driver Joel Rivera Heredia, known as “King,” during a brawl that occurred Saturday night at a food establishment in the Hato Mayor sector of this city.
The detainees, among whom is a minor whose identity is withheld by legal provision, were transferred from Santo Domingo, the place to which they allegedly fled after committing the crime.
The handover took place in the presence of their relatives, while the authorities continue the investigations to clarify the circumstances of the event.
The victim worked as a delivery person for the business Carlos Gourmet and, according to preliminary information, the tragedy originated during an altercation with those now charged.
