Duvergé, Independencia.– Within the framework of the cultural festivities in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the Duvergé Carnival 2026, the Neiba Savings and Credit Cooperative (Coopacrene) reaffirmed its commitment to community development through the delivery of financial contributions to various cultural, social, and religious entities in the municipality.
One of the beneficiaries was the U22 basketball tournament, whose support was received by the Independencia Basketball Association (Abaproin), represented by its president, Jorge Pérez, known as “Chocho”. This support seeks to strengthen sports activities and promote spaces for participation for the youth in the area.
Likewise, the Our Lady of Mount Carmel parish received a financial contribution intended for the 2026 patron saint festivities. The contribution was received in the presence of Reverend Father Nelson Rodríguez, with the purpose of supporting the religious celebrations that are part of the municipality’s tradition.

Similarly, Coopacrene provided financial support for the realization of cultural activities and the Duvergé 2026 Carnival, a contribution that was received by Mayor Francisco Peña Guzmán and which will be destined to strengthen the organization of these community events.
With these initiatives, the Neiba Savings and Credit Cooperative (Coopacrene) highlighted its commitment to the well-being of Duvergé, supporting projects that promote sports, culture, and the religious traditions of the community.
