Couple arrested for involvement in bank robbery and at least seven other cases in Santiago

Santiago.- The National Police, through the Sub-Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DICRIM), arrested in flagrante delicto a married couple involved in a robbery at a lottery office in the municipality of Tamboril, an event that was captured on video and spread on social media. The detainees are Marilín del Carmen Batista, alias “Clayde”, 29 years old, and Marcos Claudio López Guzmán, nicknamed “Bonnie”, 38 years old, who are also being linked to at least seven similar assaults in different sectors of this city.

During the arrest, López Guzmán was found with a bladed weapon approximately eight inches long. The detainees, along with the seized items, will be placed at the disposal of the corresponding department for the relevant legal purposes.
