Danna broke her silence on her social media following the controversy that broke out in the last few hours, after rumors of an alleged fight between Belinda and Kenia Os, which was denied by the Spain-born singer on her social media.
The conflict erupted after an interview with Vogue, where the singer spoke about her upcoming collaboration with Danna and said: “I think that in Mexico, two pop stars have never come together to make music; sometimes egos are far above talent or projects.” That phrase sparked complaints from Kenia Os fans, who pointed out that Belinda omitted the singer even though both have already released “Jackpot,” included in 2025‘s Indómita.
The controversy grew with another episode during a Mexican National Team match at the Azteca Stadium, in the context of the 2026 World Cup. Belinda and Kenia Os were at the venue, but they did not appear together, and those images circulated as alleged evidence of a rift.
Users on Instagram and X reviewed old posts, likes, and absences to support a theory of enmity that neither of the two artists had confirmed. The discussion reactivated a frequent dynamic surrounding Mexican female pop: rivalries attributed by media and fandoms to its most visible figures.

Faced with this situation, Danna released a statement on social media asking her fans to ignore all negative comments regarding her and her colleagues, as she wants her fandom to only share good vibes.
Furthermore, the Mexican singer assured that there is no type of competition between her colleagues, as fans or the media often wish there to be; since she believes there is a place for everyone.
Belinda said the alleged feud with Danna was “fictitious”
Faced with the pressure, Belinda responded to a communicator on social media and clarified the meaning of her statement. “A fictional enmity has always been created, specifically between Danna and me, and I never thought we would achieve this collaboration in which everything aligned for it to happen,” she wrote.

The singer added that collaborations between women have become more common only recently. “Let us also remember that, until recently, collaborations between women started to become more frequent, and that gives me a lot of happiness.”
Afterwards, she asked to put an end to the rumors and confrontations between fans. “I ask that you stop making things up and trying to pit us against each other, both us and the fandoms. The song that Belinda, Danna, and Kenia Os recorded between August and September 2025 does not have a release date. The project, which the press called the “Mexican Blackout” and which was announced in October 2025 on an episode of Apple Music Radio, was halted due to administrative hurdles within the record labels.
It was Kenia Os who explained that pause on the radio show Cara C in Spain. “The song was stopped due to administrative issues,” she said, and clarified that the decision came from Sony Music, not from a conflict between the three artists. “We can’t control it, we’re going to let it go, once the label reviews and approves it, I’m in.”
Danna also attributed the delay to “little administrative things,” without giving further details. In contrast, journalist Martha Figueroa maintained a different version on her podcast: according to her, the track was originally Kenia Os’s, and differences in working styles during the process had complicated its release. Neither of the singers confirmed that version.
While the collaboration between the three remains frozen, Belinda and Danna are moving forward on a separate project. On July 5, 2026, they filmed the music video for their duet, a production distinct from the song that remains on hold.
