The controversy surrounding Belinda due to her recent statements about a collaboration with Danna escalated to a level that the singer herself described as worrying. Through an audio shared on her Instagram broadcast channel, the artist revealed that she began receiving death threats and thousands of hate messages following the controversy that also involved Kenia Os.

The performer explained that she decided to delete a previous statement for a very different reason than what was speculated on social media. According to her, the volume of attacks affected her emotional well-being, so she chose to remove the post to protect her mental health and prevent the confrontation between fandoms from continuing to grow.

Yesterday I deleted a comment because I started receiving a lot of hate, a lot of hatred; in fact, death threats. I am not used to receiving death threats and I believe that fandoms must have limits,” expressed Belinda, who insisted that she has never promoted violence against any person.

In her message, the singer called on her followers not to respond with aggression when they receive negative comments on social media. She stated that the digital environment is already loaded with violence and asked to prioritize respect and empathy over the differences between fan communities.

I want to ask you, please, to receive positive comments. When we receive negative comments, let us not respond with hatred or hate, because we are in a world where there is already too much hatred in general,” he/she pointed out.

Belinda also explained that the deletion of her post did not mean a change in stance or an attack on any of her colleagues. “For my mental health, I deleted my comment. Not because I have anything against anyone. I am the most loving, affectionate person in the world. I want to have a good relationship with all my female colleagues, especially because we women deserve a lot of respect,” she stated.

The clarification regarding Danna and the origin of the controversy

The singer used the audio to clarify that her words regarding the collaboration with Danna were taken out of context. She explained that her comment referred to the history they both share as child artists who grew up in front of the cameras from a very young age.

When I referred to the fact that a collaboration had never happened, it was specifically between Danna and me, because we grew up together in soap operas when we were little girls and we have had a similar career in terms of our beginnings,” she explained.

Belinda emphasized that at no point did she seek to minimize the career of other artists. “Without demeaning anyone, because I never belittle absolutely anyone,” she added, while reiterating her respect for all her colleagues within the music industry.

Danna also called to stop the rumors

The controversy began after an interview with Belinda in which she spoke about her upcoming collaboration with Danna. Part of the public interpreted her statements as a slight toward Kenia Os, with whom she previously released the song “Jackpot,” which sparked an intense conversation on social media.

In light of the wave of speculation regarding an alleged rivalry between Belinda and Kenia Os, Danna posted a message on social media asking her followers to stop fueling negative comments. Subsequently, Belinda described the alleged enmity as “fictitious,” assured that she maintains a good relationship with Kenia Os, and recalled that both have already collaborated in the past.

Meanwhile, the track that Belinda, Danna, and Kenia Os recorded together in 2025 remains without a release date due to administrative issues related to the record label, as the artists themselves have explained. In parallel, Belinda and Danna are moving forward with another joint musical project.
