Santo Domingo.– The General Directorate of Traffic Safety and Land Transportation (Digesett) reported that on July 24th, it will launch a special mobility plan for the opening ceremony of the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games.
The institution explained that during the event, vehicle circulation will be limited in the surroundings of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, so access to the premises will be controlled and parking will not be allowed on nearby roads.
With the operation, the authorities seek to reduce vehicular congestion, facilitate the movement of sports delegations, and ensure the safety of event attendees.
To this end, Digesett agents will be deployed at the main intersections of the area, where they will direct traffic, guide drivers, and ensure compliance with the established measures.
The entity recommended that citizens plan their trips in advance, opt for alternate routes, and follow the instructions of traffic personnel to avoid delays.
