Dominican Andreina Martínez dazzles Victoria’s Secret judges with her wings

Dominican model Andreina Martínez dazzled the judges searching for the new Victoria’s Secret angel in the “Angels Among Us” competition, as she walked with her wings in the fourth episode of the reality show, which premieres a new episode every Thursday and Sunday.
The former beauty queen is part of the group of ten women seeking to join the lingerie brand; during the evaluation trials before the jury for the Martínez casting, she reflected on the weight of being in the spotlight and her desire to establish herself in international high fashion.
“Sometimes I feel like I am running away from being the center of attention, but I think I have to embrace it. I am taking my time to absorb it all, because I really want this,” indicated the second runner-up in Miss Universe 2022.
However, her ease and presence on the runway did not go unnoticed by the brand’s evaluators, who highlighted the impact and confidence with which the Dominican connected while walking, and stated that she looked at them carefully “up and down” establishing a powerful eye contact.

In this chapter, the contestants prepare for a photo shoot with the intervention of two big names in the industry: stylist Guido Palau and makeup artist Pat McGrath. However, the pressure increases, as the finalists must also face eliminations in the demanding competition.
During one of the rehearsals, Andreina puts on the wings and looks simply spectacular: beautiful, imposing, and with a confidence that highlights her experience in front of the cameras and on the runway.
About the series
“Angels Among Us” is the first docuseries from the Victoria’s Secret brand that follows the search for its next Angel. The process is shown in “Angels Among Us,” a docuseries available on the YouTube channel that follows the aspirants on their journey.
The first episode premiered on September 27th and the following ones are released on Thursdays and Sundays until the final chapter, which will be on October 18th.

Out of the ten finalists, only one will be chosen. The winner will not only walk in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2026, but, as reported, will also sign an exclusive contract with IMG Models, one of the most influential agencies in the modeling industry.
The Dominican footprint in Victoria’s Secret fashion shows
The pioneer in breaking molds by walking for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show at 17 years old with her iconic androgynous style, was the model Omahyra Mota, in 2001 with two memorable appearances.
Then followed Arlenis Sosa in 2008, one of the most prominent Afro-Latina models of her time, who walked in the iconic show in 2008 after establishing herself as a global ambassador for Lancôme.
They were followed by the American model of Dominican descent, Janice Dilone, who walked in two consecutive editions of the runway, in 2016 and 2017.
Later, the Dominican representation shone once again on the iconic runway with the arrival of Marina Moioli (2025), a model of Dominican and Italian descent who was part of the highly anticipated return edition of the show, and Luna Yohannan (2025), who dazzled as she joined the exclusive international cast of that same installment.
