New York .- U.S. President Donald Trump said on Monday that he will allow the technology company Nvidia to send its H200 artificial intelligence (AI) chip to “approved customers” in China and will pay 25% of those sales to the United States. Trump wrote on Truth Social that he has informed his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, that Washington will “allow Nvidia to send its H200 products to approved customers in China” and to other countries “under conditions” that protect its national security. The leader, who assured that Xi has “responded positively,” added that “25% will be paid to the US,” referring to Nvidia’s H200 sales, and clarified that this agreement does not affect other AI chips like Blackwell and Rubin. “The Commerce Department is finalizing the details and this same approach will apply to AMD, Intel and other major US companies,” Trump completed.
