New York. On August 15th, the United Palace in Washington Heights will be the stage for the DR vs PR Comedy Show, a show that will bring together some of the most influential content creators and comedians from the Dominican and Puerto Rican communities in the United States, in a production that bets on humor as a meeting point between two deeply connected cultures.

Created by Mr. Nueva Yol at the end of 2024, the concept was born with the purpose of going beyond a friendly rivalry to highlight the shared migratory experiences, family traditions, and daily life events that unite Dominicans and Puerto Ricans inside and outside of New York.

Following the success of its first edition, held in January of this year, the show returns with a renewed proposal and a cast of renowned figures from digital entertainment and comedy. The event is organized by Recognize The Talent, Fuser Productions, and Mr. Nueva Yol, while production is handled by Iván Manito and the Media Pichardo team.

On the Puerto Rican side, the team will be led by Ken Starrrz, one of the most influential digital personalities in Latin urban culture on the East Coast. He will be joined by Joselito Da Puppet, a social media phenomenon with over a million followers; Sofsdope (Sofía Negrón), Willie Sweets, Fordhamoney, and the experienced comedian Ed Rodríguez, in addition to the special participation of Chris Grant, recognized for his energy on stage and his ability to connect with the audience.

More than just a confrontation, the DR vs PR Comedy Show proposes a celebration of Caribbean identity through comedy, music, and the stories that thousands of Latino families identify with, turning the stage into a space where differences are transformed into a source of pride, complicity, and laughter.

According to the organization, an attendance of about 2,800 people is expected, mainly young professionals and members of the New York Latino community, while the gathered cast exceeds 3.5 million followers on digital platforms, consolidating the event as one of the main Latino entertainment bets of the summer.

The show will take place on Saturday, August 15th at the historic United Palace Theater, one of the most iconic venues in Washington Heights and a cultural landmark for the Hispanic community in New York.
