Santo Domingo.- The Eastern Electricity Distribution Company (Edeeste) informs its customers and the general public that this Wednesday, June 17, 2026, a scheduled power outage will take place in several sectors of the National District, for the purpose of facilitating work requested by the Ministry of Tourism (MITUR).
The temporary suspension of service will take place from 5:20 am to 10:20 am, due to network readjustment work to be carried out by the Edeeste Project Management, which will allow MITUR personnel to install a CT-40 type transformer.

The works will temporarily impact the Ciudad Colonial, Ciudad Nueva, San Carlos, San Lázaro, San Miguel, and Villa Francisca sectors, corresponding to circuit DESP09.
Likewise, the sectors of Ciudad Colonial, Ciudad Nueva, Gazcue, San Lázaro, San Miguel, Santa Bárbara, and Villa Francisca, corresponding to circuit DESP03, will be affected.
Edeeste appreciates the users’ understanding regarding any inconvenience these works may cause and reiterates that these actions are part of the efforts to strengthen the electrical infrastructure and contribute to the development of projects of interest to the city.
The company urges customers in the affected areas to take the necessary precautions during the scheduled suspension period.
