“El Mencho”’s links in Argentina, white coils and a lawyer hired as a hitwoman

Wrapped in a worrying plot, due to the narco plan to assassinate him, the federal judge Leandro Ríos and the prosecutor Ignacio Candioti, the Minister of Security of Entre Ríos,Néstor Roncaglia, recalled, this Monday, during a radio interview, the case that detected the tentacles of the dangerous Cartel Jalisco Nueva Generación (CJNG) in Argentina, on the occasion of the death of its maximum leader: Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, alias “El Mencho”.

It happened in 2017 when, an investigation by the Superintendency of Dangerous Drugs, which Roncaglia led as head of the PFA along with the federal judge of Campana Adrián González Charvay – discovered that in a warehouse in the Industrial Park of Bahía Blanca, more than 1376 kilos of tons of cocaine were waiting, distributed in 1984 multicolored loaves. The drug was conditioned inside eight huge coils. Hence, the name of the operation that thwarted the organization’s plans: “White coils”, one of the biggest blows to drug trafficking in Argentina.

Another 486 kilos of white powder were seized in an apartment in Luján de Cuyo (Mendoza). Behind the structure that was preparing to export the steel rolls to Spain and Canada, which would leave from the port of Campana, appeared the shadow of the bloodthirsty Mexican cartel that gained power after the fall of other bosses.

It happens that among the 15 detainees by the federal agents, there were Mexicans affiliated, according to the DEA, to a cartel that operated in Michoacán, a region near Jalisco and besieged by the soldiers of “El Mencho”, despite being territory of La Nueva Familia Michoacana (LNFM). “They were from there, from Jalisco”, recalled a judicial source.

Furthermore, those responsible for this logistics operated under the guise of the company Can Trade Connections, through which they financed the operation with funds from Mexico. In 2025, Max Rodríguez Córdova, Jesús Madrigal Vargas and Gilberto Acevedo Villanueva were expelled. The three had been sentenced in September 2021 by the Oral Criminal Court in Federal Bahía Blanca to sentences of 15 and 14 years in prison, respectively, after being considered criminally responsible co-authors of the crime of illegal storage of narcotics, aggravated by the intervention of three or more people organized to commit it. “White coils”: the extradition of the three Mexican drug traffickers convicted of attempting to export almost two tons of cocaine

The Mexicans left the Ezeiza prison on July 10th of that year and, with strong Interpol and PFA custody, were transferred to Ministro Pistartini International Airport. The Aerolíneas Argentinas flight departed at 11:25 p.m. bound for the city of Cancún. The federal delegation returned on July 14th.

With them they took a great secret: the names behind the homicide of who was considered the operational head of the CJNG cell in Argentina Rodrigo Alexander Naged Ramírez, also Mexican. And at this point, an unexpected figure entered the scene: that of the lawyer Julieta Bonanno. The lawyer, originally from the west of the Buenos Aires suburbs, was hired to open the door for the hitman who killed Naged and his son John Naged Aguilar, of Colombian nationality, in an apartment on Avenida Cabildo at 2600, in the barrio porteño of Núñez, where the drug trafficker was recovering from a stroke. Bonanno, defender of Naged Ramírez in the house, agreed to meet in that apartment with the victims on June 4, 2018. She arrived with a man who covered his face with a hood and was never identified. The killer managed to escape, she ended up arrested and sentenced to life in prison for “doubly aggravated homicide for having been committed with treachery and through the use of a firearm”.

During the investigation of the double crime, it was found that Bonanno, who turned 37 on November 28 last year in the Ezeiza prison, traveled to Mexico shortly before the double murder, under the supervision of “La Tía,” an enigmatic woman with whom he established a romantic relationship and with whom he met in that country and who would give the orders to all the members of the network that operated in Argentina. “You have to be with the Aunt”, advised Naged in a note that was seized in the case. The detectives who participated in the case suspect that she was the one who ordered his execution.
