Miches, El Seibo.– Technician Julio Alberto Montero passed away this Thursday; he had remained hospitalized in critical condition after suffering an electric shock while performing work related to power lines in this town.
Montero worked for the company Ingeniería Electromecánica Estrella, a contractor for the Empresa Distribuidora de Electricidad del Este (Edeeste), according to preliminary information.
The accident occurred while the technician was handling electrical system cables, a situation that caused him serious injuries. After the incident, he was transported to receive medical attention, but despite the specialists’ efforts, he passed away in the last few hours.
