Santo Domingo.– The Metropolitan Transport Company (EMT) reported that a disturbance in the electrical distribution network was the cause of the temporary suspension of service on Line 2 of the Santo Domingo Metro and Line 1 of the Cable Car during this Wednesday morning.
According to the entity, the incident occurred between 9:40 and 9:49 in the morning, following an interruption in the power supply of the Paraíso Traction Electrical Substation (SET).
The EMT explained that, after detecting the situation, the technical teams activated the established protocols to address the eventuality and restore the operation of the transport systems.
The power supply was restored minutes later, allowing Metro and Cable Car operations to resume normal functioning safely at 9:49 in the morning.

The institution assured that the interruption was exclusively due to a disturbance in the electrical grid and highlighted that the technical response allowed the situation to be resolved in a short period of time.
