Eugenio Báez values the reconstruction of the Temístocles Metz Stadium as a forceful advance

San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic.– The president of Pony Dominicana Baseball and of the San Cristóbal Baseball Association, Eugenio Báez, expressed his support and satisfaction at the announcement made by the administrator of the Dominican Hydroelectric Generation Company (EGEHID), Rafael Salazar, about the reconstruction and expansion of the Temístocles Metz Municipal Stadium.

Báez described this initiative as a firm and significant step towards strengthening sports, especially baseball, in the province of San Cristóbal and throughout the Southern region.

“This is news we received with great enthusiasm, as it will directly impact the development of our young athletes and the revitalization of sport in the region,” he expressed.

The sports leader highlighted that the modernization of this important facility will allow to raise the quality of training, the organization of tournaments and the projection of new talents, consolidating San Cristóbal as a key point in national baseball.

Likewise, he valued the authorities’ commitment to sports, noting that this type of investment contributes to social inclusion, discipline, and the integral growth of Dominican youth.

Finally, Báez reiterated his willingness to collaborate from the institutions he directs to guarantee the optimal use of this work, which he considers “a resounding advance for sports in the Southern region.”
