Azua.– A National Police officer died this Monday morning after being involved in a traffic accident that occurred at the intersection of the Estebanía municipal district, Azua province.
The victim was identified as Maikol Reyes Torres, a native of the Los Negros community in this province, according to the identity documents found by the authorities at the scene of the accident.
The event has generated dismay among family members, friends, and residents of his community, who described the deceased as a hardworking, respectful young man committed to his work in service to the citizenry.
Units from the 9-1-1 National Emergency and Security Care System, members of the National Police, and other competent agencies arrived at the scene, where they recovered the body and initiated the corresponding investigations to establish the circumstances under which the accident occurred.
