Pueblo Viejo, Azua. – The provincial governor of Azua, María Minerva Navarro, led this Tuesday an integral community operation in the municipality of Pueblo Viejo, where various free services were offered to residents of that locality.
The day, organized by the National Community Foundations RD, included fumigation, deworming, medical consultations with delivery of medications, visual evaluations with delivery of glasses, as well as haircut services and distribution of basic supplies.
According to the organizers, the delivery of assistance items such as diapers, wheelchairs, crutches, and walkers, aimed at people in vulnerable conditions, was also carried out.
Within the framework of the operation, Navarro delivered uniforms and sports equipment to a children’s baseball league in the municipality, as part of the initiatives to support community sports.
The activity was attended by the president of the foundation, Manuel Augusto González Mejía, as well as the municipal mayor, who accompanied the official during the development of the day.
The operation is part of a series of social actions aimed at expanding access to basic services in communities in the province.
