La Vega.- A criminal act was reported early this Monday at the Cely Boutique store, located in the Venecia sector of the municipality of Jarabacoa, where
merchandise valued at more than RD$300,000 was stolen, according to its owner, Jean Carlos.
According to the version offered by the merchant, this would not be the first time he has been affected by similar situations. According to his explanation, the alleged perpetrator would be a
person of Haitian nationality who had been working on a construction site on the upper part of the commercial premises. He also indicated that access to the business was allegedly gained through the back of the establishment, using a construction tool.
Jean Carlos stated that he went to the National
Police detachment to file the corresponding complaint. However, he expressed concern about the procedures required to move forward in the process, while fearing that the suspect may evade the action of justice.
The merchant called on the competent authorities to investigate the case and take the necessary measures, reiterating his request for greater security for small and medium-sized entrepreneurs in the municipality.
He also reported that a reward is offered to anyone who can provide truthful and verifiable information that helps identify the alleged perpetrator and find his whereabouts.
The case has generated concern among merchants and residents of the Venecia sector, who are calling for greater vigilance and preventive actions to strengthen security in the area.
