FVilla Altagracia.– Amid tears, hugs, and broken words, relatives of Eddi Manuel de Jesús Robles remembered the young basketball player this Saturday as a cheerful, hardworking man with a passion for sports, following his unexpected passing during a game held Friday night in Villa Altagracia.

His father, José de Jesús, stated that the tragedy took the entire family by surprise, as he was never aware that his son suffered from any health condition.

“He never had problems with anything, he never got sick. One didn’t know what he was suffering from,” he stated with evident pain.

Amidst the tears, one of his sisters also remembered the young man, highlighting the joy that characterized him and confessing that she still finds it difficult to understand what happened.

“I will remember him as a cheerful boy,” he expressed through tears.

The athlete’s grandmother could not hold back her tears when talking about her grandson, whom she described as a noble young man deeply in love with basketball.

“He loved that sport so much… he was a good son, a good grandson,” she said while remembering the excitement with which she watched him play every time he stepped onto the court.

Santo de Jesús, the young man’s uncle, agreed that he never showed signs of illness and assured that the whole family remains united to face this difficult moment.
