Santo Domingo. The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported that this Saturday will be marked by a mostly sunny environment, high temperatures, and scarce rainfall, due to the influence of a high-pressure system and the presence of Saharan dust over the national territory.
However, in the afternoon hours, isolated showers could occur in sectors of the Central Mountain Range and the border area. These rains will be associated with daytime heating, relief conditions, and the moisture transport caused by the east/southeast wind.
In light of the high temperatures, the organization recommended that the population stay well hydrated, wear light-colored, lightweight clothing, and remain in well-ventilated areas. It also advised avoiding prolonged sun exposure between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., when radiation is most intense.

For Greater Santo Domingo, the forecast indicates a hot environment with low chances of rain for most of the day. These conditions cover the National District and the municipalities of Santo Domingo Norte, Este, and Oeste.
Indomet forecasts minimum temperatures between 23 °C and 25 °C, while maximums will range between 32 °C and 34 °C, so the heat index will continue to be high in much of the country.
