The former minister considered the electoral competition positive and called on the candidates to present proposals and ideas for the country
Santo Domingo.— Former Minister of Women, Janet Camilo, considered that the Dominican political landscape ahead of the 2028 elections is “quite dynamic,” due to the number of aspirants who have begun to position themselves within the different parties.
Camilo stated that political organizations have numerous candidates with different qualities and profiles, which is why he predicted a competitive electoral race.
“I believe that in 2028 there will be competition, and competition is always good and, above all, it energizes society,” he expressed.
The political leader also highlighted the level of participation recorded in the previous elections and considered it important for parties to present different options to the citizenry to encourage electoral participation.
“It is important to present different options so that no one stays home, but rather that everyone goes to vote for whoever they like,” he maintained.

Camilo suggested that, beyond party colors, the candidates participating in the upcoming elections must focus on presenting concrete ideas and proposals for the country’s development.
