Santo Domingo.- The Justice Jet Set Movement held the panel “The boundary between guilt and eventual intent: a criminal and social look at the Jet Set case” this Wednesday at the Prof. Ricardo Mitchell Auditorium of the Faculty of Economic and Social Sciences of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD).
The activity brought together relatives of the victims, representatives of civil society, academics, and citizens interested in analyzing the legal and social implications derived from the tragedy that occurred at the Jet Set nightclub, which left a toll of 236 dead and more than 180 injured.
During the meeting, criminal law experts addressed topics related to criminal liability, the concept of eventual intent (dolo eventual), and the elements that could be considered within the judicial process being followed for the establishment’s collapse.
The organizers highlighted that the panel seeks to promote reflection and debate on the need to guarantee justice for victims, as well as to strengthen civic awareness regarding the importance of prevention, oversight, and accountability in situations involving collective security.

The day also included spaces for exchange between specialists, family members, and attendees, who shared their perspectives on one of the cases that has generated the greatest impact on Dominican society in recent years.
