Santo Domingo.- The prosecutor of Santo Domingo Oeste, Eduard Manuel López, reported this Wednesday that the Public Ministry is keeping under evaluation the actions of all the agents who were part of the police patrol involved in the incident in which the young Darling Mercado died, in the Herrera sector.

When approached by journalists as he left the coercion measure hearing against Corporal José Francisco Moreta, the representative of the prosecution explained that the investigation will determine whether other members of the patrol will have any criminal liability in the case.

“The conduct of each of the police officers in the patrol is being evaluated in relation to what happened,” he stated.

Likewise, López asked the public to trust the work of the judicial authorities and allow the investigative process to continue.
