The PLD secretary general stated that the organization has inaugurated 102 of the 154 open offices and that its main alliance is with the Dominican people.
Monseñor Nouel.- The Secretary General of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Johnny Pujols, stated that the organization continues to strengthen its territorial structure with the aim of returning to govern the Dominican Republic in 2028, while asserting that the PLD currently leads the country’s political opposition and that its main alliance is with the Dominican people.
Pujols offered his statements during an interview with members of the press, within the framework of a workday in the Monseñor Nouel province, where the PLD inaugurated four offices in Piedra Blanca, Juan Adrián, Maimón, and Bonao.
“Today we are inaugurating these four locations here, but we are going to continue throughout the entire country. So far, we have inaugurated 102 of the 154 locations we have opened nationwide, and we will continue opening locations so that the party can organize its work from there and we can organize the return of the PLD to power to improve the living conditions of the Dominican people,” he expressed.
The secretary general maintained that the strengthening of the local offices is part of the territorial reorganization and activation strategy being developed by the organization, with the purpose of recovering its political work capacity and maintaining a permanent presence in the communities.
Pujols also stated that the PLD is leading the opposition and questioned the political performance of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM).

“The PLD is leading the opposition in the Dominican Republic. It is leading the opposition and the PRM is in a nosedive. We are talking about a party that won with 50-something percent and its favorability does not reach 30% in any poll,” he stated.
When asked about the possibilities of a political alliance, Pujols made it clear that the PLD is committed to a direct alliance with the citizenry and that this bond constitutes the basis of its political strategy.
“Of course, with the Dominican people. We are already allied in almost all municipalities with the Dominican people, and we are going to achieve it at the national level,” he/she affirmed.
The PLD leader highlighted that the alliance with the Dominican people is not limited to electoral agreements, but is built through permanent contact with communities, listening to their needs, and the commitment to offer solutions to national problems.

“To the Dominican people, stay attentive to national events, to what we are doing, and know that the PLD is preparing to rescue it, to rescue the situation in which the country finds itself, and to restore dignity and tranquility to the Dominican people,” he expressed.
During the day in Monseñor Nouel, Pujols also stated that the PLD is preparing to take power in 2028 and that this goal requires work, organization, and permanent contact with the population.
“The PLD is preparing to govern the Dominican Republic starting in the year 2028, but above all, it is preparing to take power. Power is not given away, it is not lent, nor is it rented; it must be seized. And the way we can seize power is through work”, he stated.
The secretary general highlighted that the opening of local offices, political training, Concentrated Efforts, and direct contact with communities are part of the strengthening process that the party is developing throughout the national territory and the consolidation of its alliance with the citizenry.

Likewise, he weighed the public policies developed during the PLD administrations and maintained that the organization has the experience, the technicians, and the necessary proposals to govern effectively and improve the living conditions of the population.
In that sense, he questioned how a province like Monseñor Nouel and a municipality like Piedra Blanca could be left out of the national agenda’s priorities.

“It is possible that a province like Monseñor Nouel, a municipality like Piedra Blanca, is absolutely absent from the national budget and the government’s agenda. It is possible and it has already been proven to govern well so that people live well, with effective public policies,” he stated.
Pujols maintained that the PLD has a duty to govern the Dominican Republic again and assured that the organization possesses the technical and political capacity to do so, always hand in hand with the Dominican people.
“We have the duty, the duty to govern the Dominican Republic once again. We have the capacity to do it, we have the technicians to do it, we have the proposals to do it well, but above all, we have the commitment to the Dominican people”, he emphasized.
