Santo Domingo.- Social leader Julio Álvarez, originally from the Brisas del Este sector, in Santo Domingo Este, was awarded the 2026 International Youth Award, granted by the International Institute of the Americas for Development, in an event held in the city of Chiclayo, Peru. This international recognition highlights his social and community leadership, as well as his firm commitment to youth development and volunteering, consolidating him as a true agent of change within and outside the Dominican Republic, demonstrating that his leadership today transcends borders and projects Dominican youth talent on international stages. Álvarez dedicates this award to all the people who volunteer selflessly, highlighting the value of social service as a driver of transformation. Likewise, he expressed his gratitude to God, his mother, family, and friends, who have been a fundamental support throughout his career of service and community commitment.
