Santo Domingo.– Communicator Julio Hazim considered that a potential alliance between possible presidential hopefuls such as Carolina Mejía, David Collado, Gonzalo Castillo, and Santiago Matías (Alofoke) could alter the political landscape with an eye toward the 2028 elections.

During his participation in the program Hazim en La Z, broadcast by Z Digital, Hazim stated that the political landscape has changed with the emergence of new figures who, in his view, could also compete for the Presidency of the Republic.

The communicator pointed out that previously the debate revolved around the possible candidacies of Carolina Mejía, David Collado, Omar Fernández, and Leonel Fernández, but assured that in recent days other names have been added to the political landscape, including former minister Gonzalo Castillo and businessman and communicator Santiago Matías, known as Alofoke.

“With Carolina, Omar, David, Gonzalo, and Alofoke, alliances could emerge. If they are smart, they will unite, because fighting with four or five candidates would make no sense,” stated Hazim.

Likewise, he clarified that mentioning those names does not imply endorsing any candidacy, but rather analyzing the current political scenario.

“The fact that we mention that does not mean that we agree with any of that. What we mean is that votes are not weighed, votes are counted,” he stated.

Hazim maintained that a fragmentation among several candidates could alter the correlation of forces in an eventual electoral contest, which is why he insisted that alliances would be decisive for any political project with aspirations of reaching power.
