Luis Miguel De Camps highlights the Government’s commitment to the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games

Santo Domingo.- The Minister of Education, Luis Miguel De Camps, highlighted the responsibility assumed by the Dominican Government with the organization of the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, while emphasizing the significance of this event for the athletes of the region and, especially, for the representatives of the Dominican Republic.

De Camps stated that during the inauguration, the commitments made and fulfilled to make the celebration of this important sporting event possible, which brings together delegations from different countries in the region, will be highlighted.

“It is a great responsibility that the Government of the Dominican Republic assumed and, fortunately, today all the commitments we have managed to fulfill will be announced,” the official expressed.

Likewise, he pointed out that these games represent an opportunity to demonstrate how, through discipline, education, and training, it is possible to achieve great goals and serve as an example for the entire region.

The minister also valued the enthusiasm shown by the citizenry, who have been mobilizing since early hours to attend the inaugural ceremony at the Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium.

“It is a sign of absolute support from the citizenry,” stated De Camps, who said he felt happy about the start of the competitions and announced that he hopes to attend several of the sports disciplines that will take place over the coming days.
