Luis Miguel De Camps highlights student talent during visit to the Arts Gala

Santo Domingo.- The Minister of Education, Luis Miguel De Camps, highlighted the talent, creativity, and comprehensive training of students in the Arts Modality during his visit this Thursday afternoon to the National Arts Gala being held at the Eduardo Brito National Theater.

When approached by the press, the official praised the work carried out by educational centers, teachers, and families to promote the development of the artistic capabilities of young Dominicans.

“Dominican schools produce boys and girls not only with a characteristic of optimism regarding their lives and their future, but also with deeper capabilities and characteristics in areas that strengthen their knowledge and provide them with tools to become productive individuals,” he/she expressed.

De Camps highlighted that artistic training complements the learning of fundamental subjects and contributes to the integral development of students, while expanding their opportunities for personal and professional growth.

The minister pointed out that the Arts Modality constitutes a commitment to quality education and to the strengthening of the creative skills of Dominican youth.

“With the support of teachers, families, and the Ministry of Education, we have worked to train students with competencies that allow them to take advantage of opportunities and improve their living conditions,” he stated.

Likewise, he invited the public to attend the National Arts Gala and learn firsthand about the work carried out by students from all over the country.

“We reiterate to all citizens who have the opportunity to come today, tomorrow, or Saturday to the Eduardo Brito National Theater to enjoy these artistic exhibitions, the paintings, the crafts, and the stage performances that showcase the enormous talent of our students,” he stated.

The National Arts Modality Gala brings together from June 10th to 13th, young people from different provinces of the country, who showcase their skills in music, dance, theater, cinema, multimedia, and visual arts, turning the National Theater into the main showcase for Dominican student talent.
