La Vega.– Authorities identified this Tuesday afternoon the woman found lifeless and with clear signs of violence on Jarro Sucio Street, in the Yabanal sector, in La Vega province, as 46-year-old Felicia Ramírez Capellán. Meanwhile, investigations continue to clarify the crime and find those responsible.
The National Police reported, through a statement, that the victim’s body showed multiple stab wounds, as well as signs of burns, so it was transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF), where an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death with precision.
According to preliminary reports, Ramírez Capellán also presented blunt force trauma and wounds that were allegedly caused with a machete. At the crime scene, investigators recovered a steel cable that had reportedly been used to attempt to drag the body.

During the evidence collection, technicians from the Scientific Police gathered various items that will be incorporated into the investigative process. Meanwhile, agents from the Central Directorate of Investigation (DICRIM), in coordination with the Public Prosecutor’s Office, continue the inquiries to identify and capture those responsible for the homicide.
