Man arrested in La Vega for attempted fraud in a business

The named Josel Tavárez was arrested, who is being accused of attempting to make a fraudulent payment in a commercial establishment located on Libertad Street in this city of La Vega. The incident occurred when the detainee requested services at the business called “Del Primo Picalonga”, accumulating a bill of RD$13,040.00. When settling the bill, he allegedly tried to make a false transaction for RD$60,000.00 to the bank account belonging to a third party, without said deposit reaching its destination.
