Man is shot dead by hooded individuals aboard a motorcycle in Cumayasa

San Pedro De Macorís. – Mr. Joselito Matías de la Cruz was shot dead in an incident that occurred at kilometer 14 of Cumayasa. According to the statements offered by the medical examiner, the victim received several gunshot wounds, injuries that caused his death. After the event, the body was transferred to the hospital in the municipality of Villa Hermosa, where his death was confirmed.

So far, no official details have been offered on the circumstances in which the event occurred or on possible responsible parties. The corresponding authorities are keeping an investigation open to clarify what happened. Matías was transferred to his native Sánchez Ramírez, municipality of Cotuí.
