Santiago.- A motorcycle taxi driver reported this Sunday that he was stripped of his motorcycle, personal documents, and other belongings after being assaulted by an alleged criminal who approached him as a passenger and subsequently threatened him with a bladed weapon in the Parada Siete area, in the Santiago Oeste municipal district.
The victim, identified as Juan Carlos Díaz Batista, reported that the incident occurred when a young man requested a motorcycle taxi service destined for Parada Siete.
He explained that, before crossing a bridge on the route, the passenger ordered him to turn off into a small entrance located on the left, where he subsequently carried out the robbery.
According to his testimony, once at the scene, the individual pulled out a sharp object and forced him to get off the motorcycle, then escaped with the vehicle, his personal documents, and all his belongings.
“He stripped me of my motorcycle and all my belongings, my documents, everything,” the motorcycle taxi driver expressed.

Díaz Batista estimated that the losses exceed RD$50,000, while noting that, although he was threatened during the assault, he did not suffer any injuries or physical aggression.
