Santiago.– An alleged argument over RD$50 during a dice game ended in tragedy on Thursday night, when 44-year-old Domingo Andrés Acevedo Peña (Minguito) was stabbed to death in the El Maizal sector of La Yagüita de Pastor, while the alleged perpetrator fled and remains at large.
José Rafael Acevedo, the deceased’s nephew, stated that his uncle died at the scene over an alleged debt of RD$50.
“My uncle was an exemplary man, known by everyone. He never looked for trouble. They say the attacker even shouted: ‘I killed him, I killed him!’, after stabbing him,” he expressed.
The victim’s sister, Arelis Acevedo, described Domingo Andrés as a hardworking man, with no criminal record and dedicated to his family. Through tears, she demanded that the person responsible be arrested and convicted.
“My brother was not a criminal. All we ask for is justice and for the murderer to pay with the full weight of the law,” he stated.
The incident occurred around 9:30 at night. According to family members, the person identified as responsible, Alexander Torrez, had an altercation with the victim, initially struck her with a board, and then allegedly entered a nearby home to retrieve a knife with which he delivered the fatal stab wound.

The body was transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for the corresponding procedures.
