Valverde. – A court in the Valverde province sentenced a man to five years in prison after finding him guilty of attempting to sexually abuse an 11-year-old girl, in an incident that occurred in that jurisdiction.
The sentence was issued after the Public Prosecutor’s Office presented evidence that allowed for the criminal responsibility of the accused to be proven in the attempted sexual assault against the minor, whose identity is kept confidential to protect her rights and integrity.
According to the court file, the events occurred when the convicted person attempted to commit the abuse against the girl, an action that was prevented and subsequently reported to the competent authorities.

During the trial, representatives of the Public Prosecutor’s Office presented testimonial, expert, and documentary evidence that supported the accusation and allowed the court to establish the defendant’s liability.
