Santo Domingo. – Within the framework of the evaluation process of the
National Youth Award 2026, the evaluation commissions are made up of outstanding expert voices from the country, responsible for carrying out the selection of the award winners in an autonomous, technical and objective manner. This award constitutes the highest recognition granted by the Dominican State to young people who positively impact their communities and sectors.
These commissions are made up of representatives from the private sector, government institutions, and specialized civil society, all with recognized experience in their respective areas. Each line will be evaluated by experts selected based on their integrity, experience, and commitment to the development of Dominican youth.
These commissions operate with complete independence in their deliberations and decisions, while the Ministry of Youth participates only as an articulating entity of the process, without any impact on the evaluation, thus ensuring the transparency and objectivity of the award.

As every year, the evaluation process will be supported by specialized commissions, independent of each other for each line, which guarantees impartiality, plurality of criteria and the technical approach that this important award deserves.
The 2026 National Evaluation Committee incorporates new jurors, made up of outstanding representatives from various sectors, including José Mármol, executive vice president of Banco Popular; Carlos M. Veitía, general director of the National Theater; Marcos Díaz, former vice minister and ultra-distance swimmer; Persio Maldonado Jr., general manager of El Nuevo Diario; Jaime Rincón, president of the Porvenir Foundation; Crystal Fiallo, executive director of ANJE; Celines Toribio, vice minister of INDEX/MIREX; Ligia Peña, president of CONANI; Franklin de la Mota, vice minister of the Ministry of Sports; Isabel Puig, executive director of CODOPYME; Hirayda Fernández, judge of the Central Electoral Board; Lenin Bueno, vice minister of the Ministry of Environment; Damelia Zapata, deputy general director of SUPÉRATE; Miguel Núñez Herrera, guest specialist; Juan Ariel Jiménez, former Minister of Economy and guest; Esmeralda Mancebo, deputy to PARLACEN, and Opinio Díaz, vice minister of Consular and Migration Affairs of MIREX.
