Minister of Industry and Commerce Supports SMEs at the Tomato Fair in Azua
Azua. – The Minister of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes (MICM) toured the different stands of the traditional Tomato Fair in the province of Azua, where he reaffirmed institutional support for entrepreneurs and local micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (mipymes).
During his visit, the official highlighted the talent, creativity, and innovation of the agricultural and processing producers participating in the activity, assuring that each productive project represents an opportunity for growth for the province’s economy and a significant contribution to the strengthening of national exports.
The MICM head emphasized that the Government maintains its commitment to promote public policies aimed at training, financing, and adding value to the production chain, with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of Dominican MSMEs.
He also highlighted that spaces like the Tomato Fair not only promote agricultural production, but also boost local commerce, encourage entrepreneurship, and consolidate sustainable economic development in the southern region of the country.
