Ministry of Sports delivers renovated baseball stadium in Elías Piña

Elías Piña. – With an investment of about 20 million pesos, the Ministry of Sports delivered this Thursday the reconstruction of the municipal stadium, with an approximate area of 6,000 square meters for the development and recreation of young people from said demarcation. “I am very proud and grateful to be here delivering this important sports work that will greatly benefit children and adolescents who are looking for a place to play sports. Spaces like this contribute significantly to the sports development of this region. The south rises, and being here fills us with gratitude, as this investment will positively impact all children and adolescents,” expressed Kelvin Cruz, Minister of Sports. The remodeling process included the intervention of the playground, the dugouts, player bathrooms, stands, sanitary services, and outdoor areas.

Within the works, the conditioning of the land was included through earth movement and the application of black earth, grass, and silty sand, with the aim of guaranteeing better conditions for the practice of baseball. The intervention also included the construction of fundamental stadium infrastructure, such as the backstop, new stands, dugouts, mixed bathrooms and an electrical shed, as well as perimeter walls for greater security. The roofing of the stands was also carried out, general painting of the facilities and the installation of the electrical system, thus completing the functionality of the sports venue.
