Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Women held the panel “Good Gender Practices in Human Resources for Companies, Organizations, and Academia“, through the Igualando RD Seal, whose good practices benefit more than 61,000 collaborators.
The Minister of Women, Gloria Reyes, highlighted that the implementation of gender mainstreaming constitutes a competitive advantage for organizations and a key element to strengthen institutional culture, productivity, and staff well-being, while also strengthening the quality of services offered to the citizenry.
“We have witnessed significant achievements where equity has optimized the organizational climate and operational productivity of our partner institutions. This culture of equality is projected toward users, who perceive a service based on excellence and respect,” he stated.
Reyes recalled that, since 2013, the Ministry of Women has been promoting, together with the UNDP, the Igualando RD Seal, a certification that promotes the incorporation of management systems with a gender perspective in public and private organizations, consolidating an institutional culture based on equal rights and opportunities.
Currently, the program integrates 31 companies, whose good practices benefit more than 61,000 employees. Of these organizations, 10 have achieved Platinum certification, 20 the Gold level, and one the Silver level, reflecting the business sector’s commitment to equality and responsible talent management.
