Reports on the health status of Gabrielle Henry, Miss Jamaica 2025, have been cautious following the serious fall she suffered the day before the Miss Universe final. The model’s family has provided limited information to avoid misunderstandings, as has the pageant organization.
Although on November 24, Raúl Rocha Cantú, president of Miss Universe, assured that Gabrielle was evolving favorably and would soon leave the hospital in Thailand, the host country of the pageant, the expected transfer to Jamaica has not yet been finalized, and the model remains in intensive care.
After the accident on November 19, Gabrielle’s family initially thought her transfer to the hospital was part of a routine protocol. However, in a subsequent statement, her sister revealed that the situation was not as encouraging as had been hoped. Although no bone fractures were reported, Gabrielle suffered a “brain trauma” and lacerations on her chin and foot, according to reports.
Subsequently, she was transferred to the intensive care unit.
Now, Olivia Grange, Jamaica’s Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport, shared on social media that, although Gabrielle’s recovery has had some setbacks, the young woman remains optimistic and in good spirits: “Her strength will help her overcome it, with all our support,” she expressed. The minister also highlighted that Gabrielle is “one of our most recent national beauty ambassadors.”
It is expected that Gabrielle may be transferred to Jamaica soon, although an exact date has not yet been defined and they are waiting “patiently”.

The fall occurred during the preliminaries in Bangkok, when Gabrielle was parading in an evening gown. According to a close friend, Gabrielle lost her balance and fell from a 1.2-meter opening intended for the lighting equipment.
Miss Chile’s Criticism of Miss Universe’s Lack of Support
Inna Moll, Miss Chile 2025, publicly expressed her concern about the lack of support from Miss Universe towards Gabrielle. In statements to the media, Moll assured that Miss Universe staff has not visited the model in the hospital:
“The organization hasn’t even bothered to go see her at the hospital. I think it’s not a minor issue when you have one of our candidates, who comes from another country to give her all for her country and the organization, and doesn’t get a response from the organization that should be there with her,” she pointed out.
She also said that, although Gabrielle has preferred to keep her situation private, the organization’s lack of response seems sad and worrying to her.
