National District.– The Ministry of Housing, Habitat and Buildings (MIVHED), under the leadership of its minister Víctor –Ito– Bisonó, continues to advance in the urban transformation works of the Los Praditos sector, where intervention tasks are being carried out on streets 9 and 11 with the installation of new road infrastructure and basic services.
The institution reported that it has already concluded the initial stage of demolition and earthmoving, in addition to the placement of the fill required for the formation of the roads. Currently, technical teams are working on the placement of subbase and base material, as well as the installation of connections and drinking water pipes and the improvement of the sewage system.
As part of the comprehensive environmental recovery project, earthworks for the construction of sidewalks and playgrounds have also begun. Likewise, the MIVHED plans to soon begin the layout of curbs and gutters, steps that will allow for the definition of areas for vehicular circulation, parking, sidewalks, and recreational spaces.
Residents of Los Praditos positively valued the intervention and highlighted that the improvements will contribute to the community’s development, facilitate traffic, and increase the property value of homes in the area.
“I see this project as very positive because it will provide relief for mobility. These works are going very well; with two-way streets, the houses will gain more value. Los Praditos gained more value,” expressed Santos Nova Bidó, a resident and founder of the sector.
Similarly, Carmelina Leyva Liriano, also a founder of Los Praditos, expressed her satisfaction with the initiative, considering that it represents progress for the community and will have a positive impact on the businesses and residents of the area.

The initiative contemplates the integration and expansion of 9th and 11th streets with the purpose of connecting Olof Palme Avenue with Heriberto Núñez Street, creating new road corridors that will allow for improved circulation in the sector.
