MOPC puts new road solutions into service on the Duarte Highway

Santo Domingo.– The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) reported that, as part of preventive efforts to improve vehicular flow and reduce traffic accidents during the Christmas festivities, it put into service the new operational return at kilometer 110 near El Pino in La Vega. They also announced the expansion to six lanes of the reconstructed Río Verde bridge, in La Vega province. The institution reported that in the coming days the return located at kilometer 25 of the Duarte Highway, where the toll was previously located, will come into operation.

The institution highlighted that these executions are part of the expansion works of the Duarte Highway, aimed at modernizing its infrastructure, raising road safety standards, and offering a more efficient and reliable travel experience for drivers and passengers.
