Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) reported that this Saturday it will temporarily close the floating bridge over the Ozama River to vehicular traffic for two hours to allow the passage of two vessels.

The closure is scheduled from 10:00 in the morning until 12:00 at noon.

During that period, the vessel M/V Water Spirit 2 will head to the Joseph Industrial Development Corp. SRL shipyard, while the R/M Midgard Hugo will move to the Malaca facilities.

The MOPC urged drivers who habitually use the floating bridge to take the necessary precautions and, if possible, use alternate routes during the established schedule.

Recommended alternative routes include the Matías Ramón Mella, Juan Pablo Duarte, and Juan Bosch bridges.
