La Vega, D.R. – The death of Mayki Abram Gil, known as “Maqui”, continues to generate controversy after family members denounced that the young man was the victim of an alleged extrajudicial execution during a police operation in La Vega.
While the family maintains that the young man did not confront the officers and that there are videos that contradict the official version, the National Police reported that the deceased was wanted for his alleged participation in criminal acts, including the robbery of a sports betting parlor that occurred in May of this year.
Amidst the public debate, documents related to his family environment have also come to light. Records released by authorities show that Santos García Paulino, identified by the alias “Bobolo,” was declared a fugitive and was wanted by judicial order for his alleged connection to the death of a citizen that occurred in La Vega in 2023.
