New videos are being investigated in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, mother of Savannah Guthrie

Arizona. – Arizona state authorities continue to intensify the search for Nancy Guthrie, mother of NBC journalist and presenter Savannah Guthrie, who has been missing since the end of January in the Tucson area. The communicator, co-host of the Today program, posted a video on her social media when 12 days had passed since the disappearance of her 84-year-old mother, with a message full of hope: “Our beloved mom. 💛 We will never give up on her. Thank you for your prayers and hope“. According to the Los Angeles Times, investigators are analyzing a video captured by a security camera from a nearby home, in which a man is seen attempting to climb a wall in the neighborhood where the victim resided. The footage, recorded in the early hours of February 1st, shows a bald man, wearing a gray jacket and carrying a backpack similar to the one carried by a masked individual previously captured by the camera at the door of Guthrie’s residence before his alleged kidnapping.

Nancy Guthrie was last seen on January 31st at her home, located north of Tucson, in the Catalina Foothills sector. According to the authorities, she would have been taken “against her will“. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department reported on February 12 that investigators recovered several pieces of evidence, including gloves, and continue to process hundreds of leads in what they describe as a race against time.

“With the arrival of more leads, detectives and agents will continue to follow up on viable lines of investigation throughout the community,” the institution indicated in a statement.

The authorities have also requested that area residents provide any video recordings that include vehicles, traffic, pedestrians, or unusual activities recorded between January 1 and February 2, 2026. The search is now entering its second week, while family members and authorities maintain hope of finding the woman alive.
