Ney Arias Lora reports a 20% reduction in emergencies; prepares for the Three Kings Day holiday
Santo Domingo.– The direction of the Hospital Universitario Docente Traumatológico Dr. Ney Arias Lora, reported that during the New Year’s holiday, there was a decrease of more than 20% in emergency care, compared to the same period last year.
“This New Year’s Eve at Ney Arias Lora we had a decrease of more than 20% in patients compared to last year,” he indicated.
The specialist indicated that the decrease was also reflected in the number of hospital admissions.
“Last year we had more than 150 emergencies at the end of the year, compared to now, and admissions also decreased, almost 50% of the number of admissions,” he specified.
Landrón detailed that during the end-of-year holiday in 2024, more than 60 entries were recorded, while in this period the figure was significantly lower.
“Last year we had more than 60 admissions during the New Year’s holiday and now we barely had 33 admissions on the two main days, the 31st, the first and the dawn of the second day,” Landrón highlighted.
